How to Use StarBars
How to use shampoo and conditioner bars
Using a bar to wash your hair can seem strange at first. However, once you get used to it, it will be as natural as using a bottle - except you won’t have all that plastic waste at the end, and your hair will look so much better.
Watch the video above, or follow these directions:
Wet hair thoroughly. Your hair needs to be very wet to get StarBars to lather up. Since there is no added water in the bar, you need to get it wet. If you are not getting enough lather, rinse your hair and repeat. You will get plenty of lather the second time.
Rub the shampoo bar directly on hair, or lather up in hands. You can do either. Sometimes it is easier to rub the bar on your head when it is new, but as it gets smaller you can rub it in your hands.
Rinse shampoo out of hair. StarBars shampoo rinses cleanly and easily. It will be obvious when all the suds are rinsed out, just like bottled shampoo.
Rub the conditioner directly on hair. The conditioner doesn’t lather up, so at first it can be hard to know how much is on your hair. Just make sure you coat as much of the hair as possible, and then rub it in.
Rinse the conditioner. Here is where you can tell how well the conditioner worked. As you rinse, you will notice how smooth and detangled your hair becomes.
Dry and style. We recommend our amazing towel wrap for drying your hair! Feel free to heat style - StarBars protects your hair from the heat.
